SEPTEMBER 2016

Valerie performed in a staged reading of Abraham's Daughters in the role of Maxine, by Emma Goldman-Sherman and directed Lorca Peress, as part of the Lady Liberty Festival on September 11, in honor of 9/11.

I performed with my improv troupe, Cherub Improv, at the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge on August 1.

I hosted the International Women's Artists Salon: An Evening of Revolution that featured artists celebrating literature, theater, the visual arts and film on August 20. It was an incredible evening of powerhouse performances.

JULY 2016

I performed The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within at the Providence Fringe Festival!!!

And I performed with my improv troupe, Cherub Improv, at the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge on July 11.

JUNE 2016

JUNE marked the world premiere of my solo show The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within, which I wrote and star in!! The Pink Hulk had a successful run at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Festival in Manhattan and won 3 awards! My one-woman play went from page (its first reading was in January!) to stage in 5 months' time!!

MARCH 2016

Valerie will be premiering and performing her new one-woman show, The Pink Hulk, as a staged reading in the EAT new works series on March 13. Full production will be in the Planet Connections Festivity Festival in June--dates to be announced soon!

Valerie will be performing in The Frolics in the Village at 7 pm on March 16--singing and doing a scene from The Pink Hulk.

Valerie will be performing in the one-act The Sprites of Spring by Jack Dyville with F.A.C.T. Theatre company on March 20 at 5 pm.

FEBRUARY 2016

Hello! I will be performing improv with Cherub improv troupe at the Manhattan Hope Lodge on Monday, February 1. This wonderful facility of the American Cancer Society hosts cancer patients and their caregivers, giving them a free place to stay while undergoing cancer treatment.

And more news. My new one-woman show was accepted into a second play festival, Planet Connections, with 5 performance dates at the Paradise Factory in the East Village--dates TBD.

JANUARY 2016

Hello! Great news. My new one-woman show that I wrote and will be starring in has been accepted in Emerging Artists Theatre Company's New Works Play Festival on Sunday, March 13, at 5 pm at TADA theater!!!

Upcoming performances in January 2016:

I will be performing as Madame Spivy in an excerpt of a fabulous work titled Juliana by playwright Vanda. I play a nightclub owner and singer. Tuesday at the Duplex. Address: 61 Christopher Street--performance at 7 pm.

January 22, I will be performing improv at the Triple Crown at 6 pm at 330 West 28th Street in "The Snowstorm Variety Show."

SEPTEMBER 2014

Valerie will be performing improv in the 10K scramble both at 5 p.m. (hosting) and 6 p.m. at the PIT on September 7.

Valerie's Stealing Memories with co-star Juli Lang debuted at the premiere screening at NYC's The Treehouse Theater on September 7 at 9:30 p.m.

Valerie will be performing in her improv group, FACEPLANT, at 9:30 p.m. at the PIT on September 8.

Valerie will be performing in her improv group, FACEPLANT, at 5 p.m. (hosting the 10K jam) at the PIT on September 14.

Newly added: Valerie will be performing in her improv group, CHERUB, at 11 a.m. at the outdoor Summer Streets event in Manhattan on August 9.

Valerie was asked to be the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Rep at Assembly Member Daniel O'Donnell's annual health fair (brother to Rosie!) the afternoon of August 16.
