March 2014--got cast in the amazing play Sordid Lives!!!

I got cast in the play, Sordid Lives, understudying 2 terrific roles [The Town Floozy (La Vonda) and The Town Drunk (Juanita)] with guaranteed performances--first role goes up March 1 (La Vonda)--second role goes up March 8 (Juanita); playing at The Duplex in the West Village. It is a blast--one of the most incredible groups of people I've ever worked with!!

Valerie will be performing improv with the Cheub improv group at the Hope Lodge, for cancer patients and their caregivers on Monday, 3/3.

Just finished a Film/TV class with Judy Henderson, the casting director of the acclaimed series Homeland!

February 2014--Very Special Month

February is a special month!

February 17 is "No, You Tell It - Lock & Key"--my foray back into writing--this is a wonderful event. Four of us have written a nonfiction story about an event in our lives with the theme Lock & Key. Mine is titled "Re-releasing the Confetti"--what I wrote about centers around an event that changed the course of my life forever and is a very personal narrative. Then the four of us swap each other's stories and perform the narratives for the audience, so someone will act out my story and I will act out his or hers. I am so excited for this! Show is 2/17, at Jimmy's No. 43 at 7 p.m., 43 East 7th Street.

February 18, Valerie will be performing in her short-form improv group Red Tie Mafia at the Triple Crown at 7:30 p.m.
